Every child deserves to be celebrated!

We are putting together Birthday Boxes for children in Perry County.  The boxes will be distributed through the Neighbor Helping Neighbor Food Bank.  New this year, we will also be partnering with Birthday Blessings - a joint project with Join Hands, Young's UMC, Shermans Dale UMC and Cornerstone.

Beginning Sunday, January 15, pick up your box in the lobby and fill it with the items below.  You can also donate individual items and we will pack as many boxes as possible.  Boxes should be returned by Sunday, February 5.

Boxes include:

  • Box of Cake Mix
  • Can of Icing Small
  • dessert places (pack of 8/10)

foster family support

You’ve heard the saying, “it takes a village to raise a child.” This is not more true than foster care. Regardless of the circumstances surrounding a child entering care, foster families open their homes and their hearts in a time of crisis. What better way to love our neighbors than to love those that are already loving others in this big way!?

We are so excited to kick off a Foster Care Support ministry. While the vision for this ministry is HUGE, we’re ready to launch Phase 1 and begin collecting items for a supply closet that will be available to families in our county. (We hope to have enough items to offer the supplies beginning this fall).

Learn more about the vision behind this ministry from Hope Coombs (Kids Ministry Director) and Megan Safko (Reach Director).
